We’re excited to announce the public beta launch of the Helmholtz Model Zoo – a new platform designed to make cutting-edge AI models easily accessible and usable across the Helmholtz community.

Developed as part of the Helmholtz Imaging Resources and the Helmholtz Data Science and Information Framework, the Model Zoo empowers scientists to share and apply deep learning models with minimal technical barriers. Researchers can:

  • Upload their trained models to the platform
  • Automatically generate a user-friendly web interface for model inference
  • Run inference jobs automatically on HAICORE GPU nodes at DESY Hamburg
  • Access the models via both a web interface and a REST API

Whether or not you have access to local compute resources or deep AI expertise, the Model Zoo enables sustainable integration of AI into scientific workflows.

The launch coincides with the Helmholtz Imaging Conference in Potsdam, marking the start of the public beta phase. We invite all Helmholtz scientists to contribute their models – and help advance open, collaborative AI for science!
