Helmholtz Imaging congratulates Prof. Ron Kikinis, member of our Scientific Advisory Committee, on receiving the 2026 International Excellence Award of KIT and the Fellowship of the SCHROFF Foundation.

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) recognized Kikinis for his internationally renowned contributions to medical image processing, image-guided therapy, and biomedical informatics. As part of the award, he will undertake a research stay at KIT of up to six months.
Ron Kikinis is Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School in Boston and a pioneer in the development of advanced medical imaging technologies. His work has had a lasting impact on biomedical research and clinical practice worldwide, particularly in the fields of image computing and image analysis.
