Experience imaging excellence and engage with the leaders of today – and tomorrow. Join scientists from across Helmholtz and beyond at our annual conference on November 9-13, 2026 in Leipzig to discuss challenges, share breakthroughs, and connect with renowned experts shaping the future of imaging science. Mark your calendar and watch this space for updates.

We will once again welcome scientists from all research fields who work with imaging methods or apply imaging technologies in their research. Participants can look forward to a diverse program featuring keynote talks, scientific presentations, poster sessions, and ample opportunities for exchange and discussion.

Following its positive reception in previous editions, you can once again take part in and actively shape the interactive session format “Bring Your Own Imaging Challenge.” This session invites you to share real-world challenges, from everyday technical hurdles to long-standing questions, and receive valuable input from the community.

Satellite workshops in conjunction with the conference provide the opportunity to explore specific topics in greater depth. If you are interested in hosting a thematic workshop ahead of the main event, please contact us at support@helmholtz-imaging.de.

Why participate?

  • Gain insights into current developments and emerging trends in imaging science.
  • Present your work by submitting an abstract for a scientific talk or poster (number of slots is limited).
  • Exchange ideas with researchers and experts across disciplines and explore opportunities for future Helmholtz Imaging projects.
  • Explore the breadth of Helmholtz’ unique imaging portfolio through an exhibition of outstanding scientific images and take part in the Best Scientific Image 2026 award ceremony.
