Helmholtz Imaging and HIFIS are pleased to announce a new cloud-based resource: OMERO!

Alf Wachsmann (HIFIS/HMGU) introduced the Helmholtz OMERO Instance during the Helmholtz Imaging Conference in Potsdam. Today, we are excited to enter the pilot phase of this new platform.

OMERO is an open-source client-server platform for storing, visualizing, and analyzing complex scientific image data. It helps researchers manage image metadata, collaborate across virtual organizations (VOs), and integrate analysis tools in a centralized and scalable environment.

We invite you to upload your images, analyze them online together with colleagues from your VOs, develop and contribute plugins, and accelerate your workflows using this powerful new resource.

OMERO for Helmholtz can be found at omero.helmholtz-munich.de. For questions or support with the Helmholtz OMERO Instance, feel free to contact us at support@helmholtz-imaging.de.

Online workshop

To help you get started, Christian Schmidt (DKFZ), Riccardo Massei (UFZ), and Michele Bortolomeazzi (DKFZ) will host the first online workshop on July 17 (limited to 25 participants).
