Samira Kabri

PhD Student

Samira is a PhD student in the computational imaging group at DESY and part of the priority program „Theoretical Foundations of Deep Learning“ funded by the German Research Foundation. Her work is focused on the field of inverse problems, where she studies how the use of supervised learning methods can improve model-based approaches without loosing too much of their desirable properties and theoretical guarantees. Since the instability of reconstruction operators is often connected to an underlying infinite-dimensional problem, she is especially interested in how different learning architectures can be generalized to the continuum setting.

Before joining the group at DESY, she spent the first year of her PhD at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, from where she also obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
