HIDA is offering the following research grants for PhDs and postdocs:
Norway is one of the most digitalized countries in the world and AI research is a top priority. This exchange is an opportunity to get to know the countries’ thriving data science community. HIDA is proud to collaborate with NORA – the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium – for this exchange.
Live and conduct research on a self-organized project in Norway for three months. HIDA supports your stay with a travel grant of up to 2,000 Euros per month. You will be part of a Norwegian research team, and will be supervised by a senior data scientist to learn new methods and skills. Network with one of the most active Data Science communities in Europe and learn new approaches and methods for your own research.
This exchange is for PhDs and postdocs with a working contract at one of the Helmholtz Centers at the time of the exchange. Helmholtz-associated PhDs and postdocs, please contact us before applying.
The current application round runs from 15 August to 12 September 2023.
The Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant offers doctoral researchers and postdocs the opportunity to do a fully-funded short-term research stay at one of the 18 Helmholtz Centers. The program is promoted by the Helmholtz Information and Data Science Academy (HIDA).
The aim of the program is to enable new research collaborations, to foster knowledge exchange, and to explore new or emerging research topics in the field of information and data sciences. The program addresses researchers in both academia and industry whose research has a strong link to the (applied) information and data sciences. It offers researchers the opportunity to get to know the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers.
Postdocs and doctoral researchers from (inter-)national research organizations and researchers from industry (Master’s degree with at least 3 years of research experience, or PhD) can apply.
The current call for applications is open from 16 August to 15 October 2023.
The HIDA Trainee Network was established at the initiative of the Helmholtz Centers and is a Helmholtz-wide exchange program for doctoral and post-doctoral researchers whose research has a strong connection to (applied) information or data sciences.
HIDA financially supports up to three-month long research stays at another Helmholtz Center. Their goal is to spark collaborations between the centers and build an interdisciplinary community of data scientists.
The current call for applications for the HIDA Trainee Network is open from 16 August to 15 October 2023.
