The new Helmholtz Imaging Project Call is online!

Decorative: Helmholtz Imaging logo

We provide another round of funding for innovative approaches to imaging. Helmholtz Imaging projects promote imaging science and use innovative approaches in information & data science, explore synergies across imaging modalities and applications. They foster cross-disciplinary research and method- as well as practice transfer. Thus, Helmholtz Imaging projects are ideally co-created and iteratively developed with users and non-academic stakeholders such as company partners.

Helmholtz Imaging Projects can apply for a total volume of approximately € 400,000 for a funding period of up to 3 years. Half of the financial volume and at most € 200,000 will be funded by the INF and the other half will be contributed by the partners themselves.

On May 4 2022 we will introduce the call and answer all questions regarding your application in an information event at the end of April. Be there also for matchmaking to team up to write a Helmholtz Imaging project proposal. You can register for this event at
